PIERCING AFTER CARE INSTRUCTIONS
Always wash your hands before touching your piercing.
DO NOT use any rubbing alcohol, hydrogen peroxide, soaps, essential oils, or ointments on your piercing.
DO NOT twist or wiggle your jewelry while your piercing is healing.
DO NOT attempt to change jewelry on your own during the healing process.
DO NOT submerge your healing piercing in any type of standing water for your own safety.
Use warm water and sea salt solution to clean your piercings 2 times daily to remove any debris.
It is normal to have a small amount of dried blood on your fresh piercing the first few days. After that, your piercing will begin to secrete a milky/crusty discharge- this is normal. This discharge will continue throughout the entire healing process.
If possible, come back in 6 weeks to have your piercing checked on to assess healing and whether or not downsizing jewelry is appropriate.
For most piercings, some swelling and tenderness is normal through the healing process.
If you have any questions about how your piercing is healing, please call, message, or come into the studio for the piercer to have a look at it.
